If the producers are paying attention to this thread lay off of the cocky jack asses for next season or this will be the last season I watch.

This ^^ How about fewer chest-pumping Neanderthals and more interesting people. More background stories, less Real World. This is not to knock military folks – a few of my friends are ex-mil and are terrific people, but I’m done watching idiots like that George guy.

George did good right there. Took back everything I have ever said about him.

Go Chris Reed!

George understood that he had proven himself to be a great shot. He also understood that Chris and Gunny could use the money much more than he could.

As much as I dislike people throwing competitions, I respect George for those actions.

Turns out George wasn't as big of an a$* as it seems. He did it for his friend who actually needs the money. I respect it.

Gunny can't shoot a .22!!! Probably shouldn't win a shooting comp if you can't shoot a rifle most people use to learn to shoot!

George threw the competition. What bullsheet!

Now did George do this or did the producers do this?

In any case I have zero respect for George!

Remember the Black Soxs?

I enjoyed the heck out of that. Wish the whole individual challenge section had gone that way (worst 2 shoot it out.)

Watching the wrap up and preview of season 3 with a smile.

Wow...I liked George despite the cocky attitude from the start. You can tell his attitude is a regional thing. I know guys like him. Cocky attitudes don't make one a bad person. He obviously intentionally threw that shot to make it an even competition with Chris Reed. Most people would have looked for an opportunity to bury Chris but George looked out for his friend. That is a stand up guy. I hope Chris flies him out to Tennessee for some hunting and gives him a nice gift since he kept him in the competition.

I didn't dislike George. He and Chris were my favorites. George was cocky, but you knew where he stood. I like people like that better than quiet guys who won't let you know where they stand. I was still shocked to see George throw that shot in such an intentional fashion. Chris earned the win in the last competition against Gunny, though.

You can say what you want about the drama and alliances, but I feel George and Chris are stand up guys.

Did the best shooter win? I can't tell. It honestly would have been less interesting to watch without the drama. Without the drama, it is just another shooting competition that we can go out and watch anytime.

Just my 2 cents!

Are you guys watching whats on right now? They are about to talk about George's shot. Plus george all but admitted to missing on purpose..... No way he choked

George and Brian (Gunny) were probably the best shooters. I do believe that George threw it after setting it up to help rebuild Chris' confidence. I don't agree with his actions but I understand and applaud his reasoning and motive.

Except he did choke. Look how close he missed by. If he missed on purpose, it would've been by a bigger margin. He's just trying to justify himself missing an easy shot.

Same here, but George did say he considered Chris a friend and respected that he was in the competition to win money for his kids. Very noble of George since he was essentially there for bragging rights and some cash. I've got kids and I could use some college money and cash to pay off medical bills, too...so I would have tried to bury Chris in that challenge lol.

Here is my humble opinion. I don't think he really tried with the .357 in order to give Chris a chance to catch up, but I think he truly missed with the Sharps rifle.

With that being said he did a nice thing for a friend by allowing him to catch up, but on the same token he treated other people like crap because he just didn't care for them. In my opinion that doesn't make him noble and far from it. Doing one nice thing for a friend doesn't make up for the way he treated others in my opinion. If in this world we only did nice things for friends, then it would be a fairly crappy place to live.

He did a nice thing for a friend, nothing more and nothing less. Let's not make him a knight just yet. The good news is he is still young so he still has time to mature.

I think George threw the pistol shot, but I think he really missed the shot with the Sharps...Winning was everything to George, he just didn't think he would miss the rifle shot.

I think his saying that he threw the shot at the $100K was just a spin to cover his screw up with the Sharps
