Sorry to bombard everyone with another alert item, but this one is
time sensitive.

Erich Pratt, who is the director of communications for Gun Owners of
America and son of GOA's Executive Director, Larry Pratt, has just
lost his 23 month old son in a tragic drowning accident. (Shortly
before his death little Luke Pratt was last seen throwing a baseball
in his yard and happily chasing after it.)

Our sincere condolences go to Erich, Larry and their families during
this time of sorry.

For those who might know Erich and Larry and would like to attend the
funeral, it will be this Thursday at 2 PM at the Harvester
Presbyterian Church, 7800 Rolling Road, Springfield, VA 22153.

Larry's email said that in lieu of flowers, his family would
appreciate donations to the Hispanic Ministry at the above church.
Checks should be made out to 'Harvest PCA' with 'Hispanic Ministry'
written on the memo line.

I'm not sure this really applies to this forum, but my most sincere condolences to the Pratt family. As an EMT, the call I most dread is one like this. Stopping resusitation on a 90 year old man is one thing, calling it on a child has sent more than one medic out of EMS.

My deepest condolences to the Pratt family on their loss . And SMLE, as a Medic of 15 years service, I have to agree with you. This is the one call that will end careers. God Bless.

Not to be a jerk or anything, but doesn't this sort of hammer home the fact that swimming pools are way more dangerous than guns when it comes to kids...

What can you say??? No parent should bury their child. I have never met the Pratts but they are in my prayers. I pray the good lord brings thems strength to get through this and peace to accept this tragedy without blaming themselves and plan for the future. God be with them.
