I am looking to replace my returned Eotech on my AR-15 (LWRC M6A2). My first inclination was to go with the Aimpoint Pro. However, I got to handle a Trijicon MRO and I have to say I am very impressed by the MRO. Not only is it smaller, but it weighs almost half as much.

Comparing
MRO vs Aimpoint
Battery CR2032 vs Type 2L76
Bat Life 5 yr vs 30,000 hrs
Weight 4.1 oz. vs 7.8 oz
Length 2.6" vs 4.5"
Width 1.7" vs 2 3/16"
Warranty 5 yr vs 10 yr
Controls Good vs Not so good
Cost ~$100 more for MRO

I realize the Aimpoint has a long history of being very dependable and near indestructible. At the same time, Trijicon products also have a very good history. I am strongly leaning towards the Trijicon MRO. The $100 price difference is a factor, but this thing is going to last me for a long time. The controls on the MRO are well thought out.

Does anybody have any first hand information on the MRO?

Which mounts are preferred for allowing co-witnessing?

Thanks
Dws

I purchased the pro about a month or so ago. I like it, and would feel good about recommending it assuming it performs well over the long haul.

The MRO caught my attention too, and I may give it a go for another rifle if don't go with a lpvo.

Based on my limited knowledge, id feel ok about the MRO especially if youve had an opportunity to see one in person and know that you like it.

The Aimpoint Micro T seems more of a comparison to the MRO (size and weight). But the price difference is greater.

That Aimpoint Micro T sure is a nice optic, but I can buy a lot of ammo for the $250 price increase. Most of the MRO reviews are positive. I was hoping if anyone had one they would chime in hear. Not much luck on that. Oh well. Thanks for replying.
