tripod stand?

Anybody use a tripod stand? I hunt public land and I can't leave my stand up over night and I have a climber but I cant find many trees thats dont have limb far enough up or thats clean enough for it to go on and I been thinking about a tripod not the big heavy ones I been looking at the big game pursuit 12 it weight 66 but I thought about making a carrying cart and just roll it in and out what do yall think. thanks

I have hunted out of tripods in the past (mostly in texas) and while they do work, I am not sure that a 66lb light model will get you up high enough not to get busted.

My preference would be toward some climbing sticks and a lock on stand.
The sticks allow you to get up and around any branches. Heck in most cases you can use a decent branch as an extra step and get you up a little higher. I typically carry 3-4 Lone Wolf sticks and a lock on stand like a Chippewa Wedge Lock. Both are quick to set up and very secure.

I have really thought about a lock on and climbing stick im just not sure how well it would work with me having to take it down the same day thanks

The several tripods i've had over the years required building. They weren't just ez up, ez down, ya know? One of 'em was a 10 footer, aluminum, and fairly light, but I wouldn't wanna take it apart and put it back together too often.
