A number of years ago, I had an RWS pellet pistol, a very nice replica of the Sig p225. I lost that air pistol to flooding years back, and am trying to find a replacement. Anyone know if RWS still makes the C225, and who might be retailing it?

A lot of the replica guns like the SIG you're talking about are actually made by Umarex and are basically the same functionally.

You may be able to find one of them that's close enough to the SIG externally to work for you.

Here's an example.

There are usually a few dead giveaways as to the maker. The "magazines" are all similar, for one thing, and some of them come with a couple of CO2 cartridges which often have Umarex stamped on them.

I like that choice of words....dead giveaways.....as in dead. I have a 1911 and unless it is in your hand and you are reading the side that says 4.5mm you are going to think it is a 45 from 6 inches away.

Not sure what you are looking for, there are quite a few "good" hand guns out there that have good power, fantastic accurate. And then there are those like linked above....called action pistols. They are great fun on one hand and a great training aid on the other. Really depends on what you want.

Thanks guys. As noted, I am looking specifically for the p225 replica. It was extremely close to the original (dimensions, weight, etc...). The model is/was RWS C225. I could use p228/p229 if they make that now instead of the p225 replica.

I do see p226 X-series clones, and the 2022 - I'm looking for a specific model, however.

I have not seen that specific model, but I do agree with you they are great training aids. If all else fails you can look to air soft as well. IMHO as long as the controls are in the same place, fits my holster and all that jazz it is good to practice with....and have a little fun with as well.
