Hi folks,
I'm putting together a shooty goodness trip to the Coronado National Forest on Saturday, April 5th 2008.
Most of the attendees are students (mostly physics/astronomy folks) at the UofA, and it was convenient to coordinate the event via Facebook's event manager.
It's likely that there'll be a few new shooters, so I'll have my suppressed Ruger 10/22 to help start them out in a friendly, fun way (I'll also have a variety of other guns as well, of course). I'd always appreciate other gunny folks to help new shooters have fun, help maintain a safe environment (it's an uncontrolled range, so we need to watch out for our own safety), and have a good time shooting. Having more guns and ammo is also a good thing.
If you're interested in coming, I would be much obliged if you could RSVP at the event page here. Accounts at Facebook are free, and open to everyone. Even so, I realize that some (many?) THRers don't have or want a Facebook account, so if you'd like to RSVP in another manner, please contact me by PM for the time and details.
I hope to see you there!
Cheers!
-Pete
UPDATE: Depending on the number of people attending (10+), we may divert to the Tucson Rifle Club instead of the National Forest. This is not free ($6 range fee, bring $10 to be safe), but is better able to handle large groups.
