Hello all, firts post, glad to be here.

Just tried some Lyman's Tuff Nut. As you know it is colored a burgundy color. After tumbling and seperating the cases from the media I notice a slight burgundy dust inside the cases. I'ts 9mm and I am loading practice rounds. Should I be concerned about this slight residue?

Thanks, David

That's jeweler's rouge. Powdered rust. It's softer than steel and won't put wear on your barrel, if that's what you're thinking.

No problem at all, even makes your dies work smoother. Will give your fingers a slick red tint to them after 100 rounds or more.

Thanks fellows! I appreciate it! First time I have used the stuff and I was a little concerned. It does claen and polish the cases very well.

It's good stuff, Lyman just used way too much rouge. So mix it half-n-half (or even leaner) with plain corncob media like that stuff from Drillspot.

Happy I found this I was worried it might mess with a round properly firing. This removes a ton of worry I had about moving forward.
