Are UN resolutions made public at any time?

I sure would like to know what is being asked of Iraq.

If they were, you could probably find them at www.pointlessdebatingsociety.org.

As much as I am wary about this whole affair with Iraq, the UN reminds me of an unarmed English Bobby when it comes to showing the resolve to enforce their resolutions.

"Stop! Or I shall blow my whistle and yell "Stop" again!"

As anyone who's ever had to raise children or puppies will tell you, a threat becomes meaningless when non-compliance is not followed up by immediate consequences every time.

Personally, I've lost all respect and regard for the United Nations after the Srebrenica massacre. Bosnian Muslims in a "UN Safe Haven" were carted off by the Serbs and executed by the thousands. The Bosnians could not fight back, because a UN condition for entry into their "Safe Haven" was disarmament. When the Serbs came, the UN would not allow the Bosnians to rearm themselves...and when the Serbs waltzed into Srebrenica and started putting Bosnian Muslims on trucks, the "Peacekeepers" didn't do a damn thing.

I did a google search "UN resolution text" and got a bunch of hits. CNN seems to report the actual reolutions often (after they are made available, that is).

Hope this helps,

ehenz
