I picked up a package of 15 muzzle loader bullets on clearance last year at a local store. There was no insert in the box that gives the particulars of the bullets, but they appear to be Underwood bullets but made for a muzzle loader. Are any of you familiar with these? If so and you have used them, how did they work out for you?

I finally made it home and found a little bit more information about them. They were made by Umarex. Sorry for the confusion! I bought it because they were not an expanding bullet, but one of the new "cutting" type bullets. I wanted to try them and see how they worked on a deer. I will probably be shooting them to about 80 yards or so at the longest. I was curious if anyone else had tried these yet.

From what I've seen, Lehigh's controlled fracture bullets destroy a lot of meat. If you are just out to "blow something up", they will suit your purpose. If you wish to put meat in the freezer, I would suggest a conventional bullet.
