I have a new RCBS Uniflow powder measure with the small metering insert. It has worked very well with a ball type rifle powder (H335) so far with excellent consistency.

How does it work with flake pistol powders like Bullseye and Power Pistol???

I have the Uniflow with the small insert. Unique goes through the meter fine -- there's no resistance when cutting a flake, for example. However, there is, for me, more variation in the weights thrown with Unique than with a ball (or ovoid) powder.

With Unique, I'd get one throw a tenth high, one throw a tenth low, two that were right one, one high, etc. A tenth of a grain either way isn't going to hurt accuracy, I don't think, but it did make setting up the meter something of a pain in the behind: I'd have to throw 10 and take the average to see what weight my measure was throwing.

For no other reason than because it makes the measure easier to set up, I switched to ball powders. I do miss the smell of Unique, though. That powder has the best smell when it burns.

Mine works well with Power Pistol. Haven't run any Bullseye through it. The measure was a little inconsistent with 700X, but it's a fairly coarse powder for the light charges I was using.

Bullseye Metering

I just started reloading so I don't have much experience. I'm using the Uniflow from RCBS with Bullseye. I have the Micrometer adjustment screw attached which gives me a nice visual for small changes. I haven't had much problem metering Bullseye. I did notice small 0.1grain variations in weight. Every 10th load I'd toss on my digital scale and most of the time id get was I was expecting but occasionally I would see a value 0.1grains high. Though I could be on the border of my scales readability since it only shows 10ths of grains. My biggest problem with my Uniflow has been static electricity. I washed it once and used it. Tons of static. Wiped it out with a bounce sheet and still some static. Gonna try and wash it and bounce it again. Hopefully this will fix the problem.
