I was recently given a V1 by a friend who picked up a V3. I picked up some batteries and when I turned it on tonight the language is in Spanish. How do I change it to English? I've checked the manual and their website but neither list anything about this. My friend is currently unavailable otherwise I would have contacted him. I was hoping to use this tomorrow but, my Spanish is isn't so good. Haha!

Thanks for the reply. I have a hard copy of the manual and I've looked at the online version, there is nothing in either that talks about resetting the language.

See if there is a factory reset. It's probably something like holding the button in for ten sec or pressing it ten times in a row

You can always call the company. Or look for Ryan hey on fb

Thanks for all the advice. I tried several things to see if I could get it to reset with no luck. I do plan on calling them on Monday.

Talked to Ryan at Magnetospeed, apparently I am the first person to have this issue! After sending him some pics of the display he talked to his engineers and they want me to send the display in to be reprogrammed. I will update thread when I have more info.

What did you do anyway, buy some batteries for it at WM that were made in Mexico or something?:D Really though, static electricity will do strange things to electronic devices. Never seen this problem before though.:scrutiny:

Haha! Maybe I should have tried some different batteries, display probably would have changed over to Chinese though. +1 on the static electricity. Funny thing is, Ryan said they only make an English version! Just my luck, I get the one that has an identity crisis.

UPDATE:

I finally had a chance to send the display unit to Ryan last week. I received a replacement unit yesterday (10/19), not bad considering they received the unit I sent on Thursday (10/13). After turning the new display on and verifying I can read it, I did notice they didn't return the micro SD card. I emailed Ryan about this and he told me there was definitely an issue with my display, so they sent me a replacement. I asked if I could use an off the shelf card or was there something special with their card (software)? He told me they would just send me a new card.

I have to say my customer service experience with Magnetospeed was excellent. The only money I was out was shipping on my end. They replaced a V1 (there now on V3) display unit no questions asked even though I told them up front I was not the original owner. This is what great customer service looks like. I know what brand my next chronograph will be.
