I sent a S&W M15 back to S&W to be refinished in 1997. AT that time I was living in Anchorage, Alaska and my shipping cost was $24 via UPS Next Day Air. When they shipped it back to me via Next Day Air they paid $13 per the label. What is up with this?

i like using UPS since the dist center close to me has some good people working there. they don't freak out at the mention of firearms. for those who use UPS, ask for Next Day Air Saver, which is the cheapest next day air option. their internal policies require Next Day Air, but they don't specify that you need to use the fastest(most expensive) Next Day Air option. i think there are three levels....Air Saver is the cheapest and slowest(in gets there in the afternoon). and i think they will usually ship the most expensive Next Day Air if you don't mention the specific Next Day Air service.
