I've acquire a SAA Rodeo. It's a thing to behold. I wouldn't trade it for all the monkey love in the zoo, but... can I replace the grips with anything made for a SAA Colt? If no, can you recommend a vendor. I'd like something in flat black or flat white (maybe), but I'd be willing to look at anything you can think of.

Edit: I've got a little side question:. Why did the originals have 4 clicks instead of 2 like many of the reproductions?

Jim Watson is pretty much right. USFA tries to clone the 2nd Gen. Colt and comes close. I have a set of white checkered polymers that I fitted to my Rodeo several years ago before I sold it. I kept the grips cuz I have a Gunslinger model and they shud fit. The Gunslinger is now sporting a smooth white polymer that has aged and matches the aged look of the Gunslinger.

You may want to order from USFA or check Ajax grips and order a set of their 2nd gens. Either one will have to be fitted tho. Time and patience will get you thru.
