The Utah Concealed Firearm Permit class!



Class Date: Saturday, January 16, 2010 from 10am - 4pm

Class Location: The Hyatt Regency Hotel - Crystal City, located at 2799 Jefferson Davis Highway, Arlington, Va. 22202


Seating is limited to 50 for this class.

A Utah non-resident concealed firearm permit is one of the most widely recognized carry permits in the United States. This 6 hour class meets the Utah requirement to apply for this highly sought after permit. This class is classroom lecture only and there is no shooting requirement or range time required to obtain this permit. The only way to apply for the Utah permit is by taking this class, taught by a Utah certified instructor. Utah does not accept any other form of training towards applying for the permit. This class also satisfies the requirement for obtaining a Florida and/or Virginia permit.

The cost of the class is $85.00. A student manual will be provided. Proactive Shooters will also supply the necessary fingerprint card (prints must be obtained elsewhere).

I've taken this class from these guys and it's very good. Lot of good information and Jim does a good job with it. I've got my permit now but haven't been able to use it yet. It came in the mail a week after my trip to Virginia where I could have used it.
I live in the People's Republic of Maryland.

I have mine it is a great carry license. It makes it so I can carry more places. I love it.

Does this class qualify for Virginia & Florida CCW's as well? I need to renew both my VA & FL CCW's and lost my NRA Basic Pistol course certificate, so I need to take another course again.

I recall FL & possibly VA (can't recall for sure on VA) used to require live fire as well?

Yes, it qualifies for both Florida and Virginia (even says so above! ).

Florida and Virginia both require a "firearms training/safety course conducted by an NRA certified instructor" - this class meets that requirement and a certificate will be provided that you can use towards applying for those states.


Neither Florida, Virginia nor Utah require live fire.
