This maybe the answer to Kel-Tec's short comings of their shotgun. Talk about cool. Five years in the making, originally at the request of a major U.S. gun manufacturer who wanted a lightweight, full-capacity polymer pump-action shotgun, the UTS-15 military and police combat shotgun is the first shotgun ever produced with a 100-percent polymer receiver. More than 80 percent of the gun is in fact fabricated from carbon-fiber reinforced injection-molded polymer. The UTS-15 is a close-quarters combat tactical gun with an overall length of 28.5 inches and a 15-round capacity. An optional built-in LED spotlight and laser night-sight provides point-and-shoot night-fighting capability. Weighing in at 6.9 pounds, the shotgun requires no tools for field stripping, which takes about 60 seconds.

Currently manufactured in Turkey and being sold to the civilian market outside the U.S., the shotgun will be available stateside in late spring once production in the U.S. is underway. MSRP is expected to be around $1,200. Look for a full review of this gun in an upcoming issue of American Rifleman.

I like everything but the price.

A fella could buy and tac build half a dozen Maverick 88s for that amount.

Seems like to a lot of people, shotguns have come as far as they could and anything further is heresy. Yes it's more expensive but it offers features that appeal to a different crowd.

Very cool. I like that it has a space in the forend to mount a flashlight. Hopefully this style of shotgun gains some traction in the market, since it'd be nice to see some semi-auto versions.

UTAS , IIRC, was the builder of the S&W SxS which is a quality-made gun. If they have it together, they could beat KelTec at their own game - a bullpup gun that works

I'm not sure, but I think UTAS is capable of manufacturing in much higher volume than KelTec. So if it does make it's way to the U.S. I think were more likely to see it at MSRP or at least nearer to it than the KSG.
