I was looking to sell, what are referred to as monkey guns. it was made in belgium around 1920 judging by the proof marks on it. the ram rod looks original. the but stock is carved and looks like a water buffalo with green eyes, it has a patch box to. bore is 410, barrel is hexagon to the forend.
the lock is in good shape and is in the white from what i have seen that's how they came. has sling studs and swivels. the lop is normal around 14''. from what i could find these guns were used by the natives in south america for the feather trade. any info or estimated value would be helpful thanks. troy.
