YouTube has an entire series of interviews with famous Gun experts. I was surfing and watched all of them about Mr. Vang.

Wow!!

It was a true pleasure listening to Mr. Vang!

There is no question that he has forgotten more knowledge about firearms than most of the "experts" featured on today's internet know...

have any of you guys ever shot a firearm that has been modified by his company?

I can always dream of being able to spend that kind of money... Maybe when my ship comes in....:D

Why do you feel the need to do all of those expensive modifications? What is it about those that make it SO mandatory to have?
Once you honestly answer those, then you can make a good decision.

In the days before Federal Flite Control wads and reduced recoil loads, Vang's work did tighten up patterns for LEO and HD shotguns while making them less bruising to the shoulder. With the current state of ammo, the Vang barrel work is not needed.

I have a Wingmaster that Vang Comp did for an LE agency, and the work is well executed. The work included replacing the 2-3/4" ejector with one for 3" shells, the full Flexitab upgrade, a new magazine follower and spring, MMC peep rear sight, and a Vang Comp +1 magazine extension. The gun was Parkerized and a Speedfeed IV-S stock and Surefire forearm added. I bought the gun secondhand minus the ported Vang Comp barrel and added a Parkerized 18.5" barrel with a tritium front sight. Total price was about the price of new Express for the finished gun.

I've purchased the big head safety and the ss magazine follower and like both. Would do again.

I just can't see doing the forcing cone or comp system, unless the shotgun was my only long arm. To me the shotgun recoil isn't terrible and if I need to reach that far, I'm grabbing a rifle. YMMV.

Vang Comp

Hello Guys!

Thanks a lot!

I found Mr. Vang to be a great guy in the videos!!

I have never seen a man with such big hands!!

Great information!!!

Even though one is unable to OWN a Rolls Royce it's great to look at one and appreciate it for what it is.....:)

I have found comp'd barrels on any gun to be to much gain in volume. I have always avoided them. If I found something for a reasonable price and wanted it I wouldn't turn it down, but I wouldn't go out of my way by any means. Just my thoughts.

I'll agree that the Flite Control wadding has helped greatly reduce patterns. But I'll play the Devil's Advocate. Not everybody shoots Flite Control. Most folks seem to buy the cheapest junk ammo they can find at Walmart.

In that case, they'll certainly notice a difference with the VCS. I have a VCS barrel on one of my 870s, and I have no intention of changing it. It also does reduce recoil a little. I've never measured it, so I can't say it reduces felt recoil by 29.6%. But it is noticeable.
