I'm wondering if anyone can give me some information/opinions on the Vector CP-1 pistol. Has anyone out there handled/shot one? Is it available in the US, and if so, who sells them? TIA

If I'm remembering correctly, the VECTOR was being bought back by importer because of problems of it going bang when it shouldn't have been.
There was evidentally no fix for the problem, so for liability issues they were removed off the market.

I owned a Vektor CP-1 for a few years and enjoyed the pistol. I heard some complaints, but mine was 100% reliable and inherently very accurate. With a better trigger it would have given my P7 a run for it's money (I kid you not).

The only negatives I saw, other than the internal safety issue, were:

1) No hi-cap magazines available, and...

2) The rear sight was actually part of the polymer frame, so it was impossible to install a better pair.

I was sorely tempted to keep mine from the recall, but since they offered me full MSRP + $100, couldn't say no. ;)

If they ever re-release a slightly improved version I would be all over it.

You know if they offer you 100$ + MSRP for the gun for the recall..they are loosing their shirts in the process.............

Imagine how scared they must have been of all of the pending lawsuits they were gonna face and the zillions it would have cost them.

Thats the only reason they would make such an offer..............
Lawyers are amazing at times........................

Shoot well..............

I think I'd have kept it ... I imagine they are worth more then that today.

Yea, I was pretty suprised at that amount too. They must have been pretty nervous.

Well, maybe or maybe not. It's hard to say since it was recalled for safety issues. It's not like it was just 'discontinued". I didn't want to be stuck with a gun I couldn't sell if need be. But..............

I sold my Steyr GB about 10 years ago for $400 and they quit making them. Now it's hard to find one for less that $650-$700. :banghead:

:D
