Vexor Pepper Spray

This has come up before, but I really don't know what happened with it. I need a LEO to become a THR distributer for this Vexor spray. Can anyone help?

I have 3 cans of Vexor V-7 issued from my Dept. I did inquire with our "weapons" officer and he told me civilian use of the product is prohibited? I imagine he meant that it's a restricted sale item, since Vexor (zarc-inc.) restricts its sales to LE\military and security. I contacted Zarc directly and they require minimum purchases, letterhead and it needs to be shipped to a PD address. I have wanted to get some for my own use but as of yet have been out of luck. My Chief won't issue letterhead to anyone but the "Weapons" Officer, and even then it's a pain. I would be interested in buying a quantity of Vexor if someone can come up with something.

Yes, it is Zarc who prohibits sales to LEOs only, to make them feel special and better than us serfs.

(No offense to most LEOs, there are just some officers who have a power-trip thing going on.)

FOx Labs seems to work well enough, but I would also be in as long as personal use and possession is legal (even if purchasing it is restricted).

I wonder why these guys want to limit their sales so much.

One is almost inclined to think that the esclusivity of the product is just maybe the only thing that makes it worth what they charge...

Zarc couldn't really provide any reason aside from their products are "LE" only. I have used the Vexor several times and the results are VERY good to say the least. I've never used FOX products, and my only other OC experience is with Phase IV Foam, which I was certified as an instructor with my previous Dept. I have been sprayed with both Vexor and the Phase IV and the Vexor has to be the most miserable experience I have ever had.

Reading a LEO journal they were discussing different pepper spray attributes, and besides spray patterns importand aspects are shelf-life and seperation - where the components in the suspended solution settle into different layers. Otherwise they measure strength by the unit "Capacinoids", sorry I likely mis-spelled it, but it was a word like that.

And for miserable experiences, once glutton-for-punishment friend agreed to sniff the amount of cayenne pepper that could be fitted on a coin. The coin was the Canadian equivalent of the silver dollar - he sniffed a lot of cayenne pepper - and he was sick as a dog for it. He got his pack of cigarettes though!

If you can't get Vexor then whats the next best thing for a civie?

Probably Fox labs, which has a 5-point-something million SHU rating. It's still a 10 million SHU difference.

I wonder if vexor might be too much of a good thing if overspray or spray back due to wind is very bad when using on an agressor with Fox or other sprays consider the fact when you have to fight off ten times the effect of a 15 million SHU spray . Still , if it 's working then fine.

The Vexor is 15 million SHU before they mix it. They even say on their site that the SHU is meaningless. Fox does pretty good but if your using stream it takes awhile for it to do any good on someone wearing glasses. I use to sell nothing but Fox although i've tried many, if not all brands. I had a few friends wear safety glasses and hold their breath and close their eyes to try to find a stream that would work as i got tired of the blowback from oc cone and foggers. The Fox would burn their face and take about 45 seconds to shut their eyes. I also tried DPS. Most of you probably never heard of it, but it's got almost twice as much pepper in it as Fox and the the Carrier is Perchlorethyene-it opens up the pores and breaks down the oils of the skin. It had about the same results although testers did say it was a little hotter and took alot longer to decontaminate them. I also tried V4"s Shotgun Stream by ETGI. It starts out as a stream and at about 6ft starts to spread apart into a shotgun splatter, At about 15-20ft it covers an area about 2ft across. Every tester said immediately they couldnt breathe and couldnt open their eyes and asked if they could have rushed me they said their was no way. The weird thing was they all also said it was much more intense than even the Vexor which i've tried in the past and this company claims only 1 million SHU. I also testify to this as i try it on my arms and count the seconds it takes to work and intensity and the V4 is absolute instant burning with the Fox and DPS coming in a tie for 2nd taking about 15 seconds. Another awsome thing is, this stuff is a real confidence builder, not only because it works but because of almost no blowback unless there's some serious wind and because every bottle i have tried has sprayed head on of at least 23ft and just under 35ft if arching the bottle.
