Vinigar and hydrogen peroxide removes leading

Another vote for the Chorboy, lapping or polishing the barrel, but nothing beats not having to do it at all. Like a lot of folks here, I shoot a lot of lead. White lube or Lee Alox stopped all leading in all my guns, or at least its so minimal you can't even see it.

Yep, I had a S&W 629 (stainless) that had some heavy leading. I used the 50:50 mix and it worked great. Since then I use the Chorboy on a brass brush and it works fine.

I've seen a couple of you mention Alox or White lube,do you put that on the finished rounds or tumble the bullets in it ,then load?
I could imagine what the bore would look like after "polishing"with the SS choreboy.:what:

Tumble lube first, then load. I do it to all my lead rounds. I'll buy a few k of bullets and lube them, let them dry for a day then put them back into the box till ready to load.

Regarding the Lee Liquid Alox, I never had much luck with the stuff, plus it built up on the inside of the bullet seating die and the seater had to be constantly cleaned, just a pain. This was using the spec, Lee tumble lube cast bullets with the shallow lube grooves. Finally acquired my Lyman Sizer Luber #45, the old one, and ended all those problems. Bought new moulds because the tumble lube moulds didn't hold enought lube. I now mix my own lube using bees wax, parafine, a squirt or two of the liquid alox, and some auto wax, works for me, and NO LEADING.

I do the same, just a little different combination of stuff. I use Johnson paste floor wax, a couple of squirts of Alox and splash of mineral spirits. After it dries for a few days its barely sticky and works great.

If you are having a problem with leading I think you need to read some information from the experts. You could have a hardness problem a size problem a lube problem a velocity problem ectera. Hardness problem It can get complicated. Ask the professionals who actually cast and shoot lead( bullits). Listen to them and learn I am positive they will help solve your problem without harsh and destructive methods. Best of luck to you and good shooting.
