I am trying to find an old advertisement I saw once that depicted a couple (man and woman) out bird hunting together. I want to say that it was an advertisement for the ammo, but I can't remember for sure. No idea what brand it was for. The picture was a cartoon, not a photograph. It looked like a nice, wholesome picture and I'd like to get a copy of it. Thanks in advance for the help.

Start at the top.

Editors have amazing memories. Write to a few and see if one of them recalls the drawing.

 I think if I ran across a bunch like that in the field, I'd be looking for cover! :uhoh:
Half naked muscle builder types for retrievers :rolleyes:
I wonder what sort of Madison Avenue freaks thought a group of bird hunters looked like that!

My old Winchester ad

My grandfather bought a box of odds and ends at an auction and on of these Winchester posters was in it. Along the bottom it reads, "Shoot them and avoid trouble." My mother called Winchester to get an approximate age of the poster and they said they would be very interested in buying it back from her, I wonder why? By the way, I believe they said it was from the mid twenties but I could be wrong. Is this the ad you were looking for?

I LOVE old advertising and use a lot of it for what passes for "decor" around the house. I have a number of gun & ammo advertising signs, but mostly of grandpa and the boy, or dad & son. Don't remember one with a married couple out for a bird hunt, but would love to see it!

I sure wish I had hung onto all the great calenders the gun and ammo makers used to pass out at the gun shops and hardware stores.
They always got tossed just like all the cool shotshell boxes.
My favorite was always Peters.

... If we're being non-helpful and just posting advertisments we enjoy ...

I don't mind the tangent. Those are pretty good. Some Lesters ads might have to wind up on my wall.
