John Boch said:
Virginia’s House of Delegates approved a ban on private firearm sales, a red flag law and gun rationing among others on Thursday. This despite the massive rally on January 20th that drew tens of thousands of angry gun owners to Richmond.

The disgraced governor there, Ralph Northam, has followed through on his pledge to impose racist, sexist and classist gun control upon his residents.
These legislators are as tone deaf as those who enacted absolute bans on abortion, despite the protests.

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam said:
Make no mistake—these measures will save lives.

Make no mistake; these measures will result in increased incarceration of young black men.

I read an ATF report that said over 16 years, form 2001 to 2017 that 91% of people locked up for "gun violations" were "minorities" mostly from big cities.
Democrats like to pretend their anti gun policies aren't incredibly over the top racist and they get away with it.

I don't believe the laws are racist, it is just that certain people statistically break certain laws more.

In a recent interview, Maj Touré said that many inner city minorities who would benefit from responsible gun ownership in order to respond to high crime levels in their neighborhoods, do not know that they need to go through a legal process to buy a gun, part of his organization's work is educating these people on how to become a legal gun owner so they don't get arrested for illegal possession. I was astonished to hear this but I believe him.

In the Democratic debates, Bernie Sanders was arguing that our criminal justice system is racist and broken.

They want to keep a monopoly on thr black vote by arguing how unfair and racist society is.

We're getting off to a bad start, let's try to keep politics out of it. Anti. Pro Gun.

Well of course the anti gun ridden Virginia legislature passed gun control laws. The antis don't care if you like it, they know you don't. As long as we keep putting antis in office, they will keep pushing anti legislation.

Vote pro gun.

Kind of makes one wonder if they are so detached from how things work should they have one? Not knowing the laws is not a very good indication of responsible. IMO

They rally, from a policy changing standpoint, was a waste of time. No one in the capital cared. But it did show how many Virginians are angry. And those Virginians WILL vote in the next election.

This is why those who say you shouldn’t vote based on one or two campaign promises are flat wrong. A promise of erosion/infringement of the 2A is an erosion/infringement of ALL freedoms. And it’s now being felt all over Virginia.

I only watched the first half of the interview so far. (It is on Candace Owens' show on PragerU.) But my understanding is that he's making it his mission to educate these people, i.e. to help them understand a lot more about "how things work". BTW he is also teaching gun safety. To answer your question I think he would say just because they are detached now doesn't mean they have to be detached forever, his whole point is to un-detach them.

A few years ago, Virginia Republicans, with the support of the NRA, pushed for "Operation Exile" (mandatory prison sentences when guns were used in crime). Guess which demographic group that primarily affected?
Well, if we agree that guns should be used responsibly, and criminal activities are by definition not responsible behavior, don't you think mandatory prison sentences for using a gun to commit a crime are appropriate? Rather than punishing law-abiding gun owners?

Guess I would have to pick the group that committed crimes with a gun.

It's crazy to me how hard they've pushed this this year. Must not be alot of fear of backlash in the upcoming election. Even here in IL, a lot of more extreme stuff hasn't been passed due to some downstate state senators not wanting backlash from their constituents and potentially being voted out.
