About 1 1/2 years ago I bought athe CL5 green laser for my wifes M&P40. Seems like when I get it sighted in, it will jump up 6-8" and left a couple inches. I checked the tightness of the mounting. And remounted it last night. I'll try it again today, hopefully.

I have done a search and can't find anyone having this issue.

Anybody here have a clue what I might look at to see if I am doing something wrong. Or just contact Viridian.

Thanks!

Just when shooting. Racking the gun doesn't move it.

If we get out this afternoon and it still does moves, I'll call them.
Haven't been able to take the gun out much. Was hoping I could get the issue easily resolved myself.
Thanks! :)

That is pretty odd. Mine holds zero very well and has for years. It is past the 1 year warranty but I think they would still be able to help you, their CS department is pretty good.

I agree on the oddness. I have done a few searches and haven't found anybody complaining about this issue.

With the wife having two major operations within this last year, we haven't taken the gun out enough to get it's work out. We didn't make it out today, but tomorrow, hopefully.

One year warranty, okay, thanks for that bit of info. I'll give them a ring. See if it needs repaired and if it is reasonable dollar wise.

Thanks again for the replies! :)

Update

So, I remounted the CL5 on the M&P40, paying more attention to the flushness of the fit. And finally got out to the range today.

I shot 50 rds. of plated 155 gr. bullets with Titegroup @ 5.5 gr.
The zero held through each round.
I believe I had it too much against the trigger guard the first time. It wasn't properly seated in the dovetail.

Thanks for all your inputs. Now I can rest easy when I purchase the green laser for the LC9. :)

And Mark, I will consider Optics Planet for that purchase.
