We are seeking volunteers for a voter registration drive at gunshows in Washington. Contact George Kelley at 253-719-3970 to join us in this endeavor. We will be at the Washington Arms Collectors gunshow in Puyallup, WA this weekend of April 27th & 28th. Come see us there.

It was a slow day at the gunshow, low attendance. I only got three people registered to vote. I also got two new volunteers come in today to help but the low turnout really sapped their morale. I did explain to them that there will be more interest in voting when we get closer to election season. I also think we will get more voters when the new laws go into effect in July.

A low point of the day was when a guy came to my table to say that 1) one only needs a drivers license to register to vote. 2) That Washington State gives driver's licenses to illegal aliens.
I said that is true but we can still win upcoming elections. He was irritated at that comment and circled back to his point was that illegal aliens could vote. His point being clear that our cause was a lost cause. He would not leave until I conceded to his point that illegal aliens do vote in our election without the follow up that we could still win. This gave him a satisfied look of victory on his face as he walked away. It really made his day that he "won" the debate. That guy had already thrown down his guns, he gave up on a future for gun rights and he made it his mission to sabotage my mission. I just had to get him to leave my table to continue my mission.
These defeatists are part of the problem. They gave up on winning and they don't want to be wrong. Tell them that there is a chance of winning and they get pissed off.
