Hello everyone!

Now before everyone jumps on my post because of the Brand and type of powder I am asking about: The only reason I have have two pounds of VV N105 is because picking were very slim here. I do load .357 also but for this question I am asking specifically about .38 special with just small pistol primers.

Has anyone used VV N105 with Small Pistol Primers for .38 Special? I would like to use the 158GRAIN MBC LSWC bullets I have for this load.

Please share your experience if you have done this load.

Thanks in advance!

It is too slow for .38 Spl. You could make it go bang, but at .38 Spl pressure levels I doubt you would burn all the powder. It odes OK for mid level .357.

If Lapua/VV doesn't list it, it is a very good chance that it doesn't work.

Yeah I would love to trade this stuff for some more versatile pistol powder. But seems if it is used for it's optimal uses, it would be used in big mags or 10MM loads. I misread the specs on it and added it to my cart when I was shopping online. Guess I am stuck with it...or I can keep it and try it on 357 loads when I run out of powder.
