where is a good place in the Seattle area (good=cheap) to buy handgun ammo? (no i don't want to re-load, too lazy:))

I don't have enough room in my safe to buy 1,000+ rounds at a time, so buying online doesn't save me much once i pony up for shipping....so I'm trying to find a place in person that i can buy ammo a few hundred rounds at a time (Cabelas is too far with gas prices:()

Try Big 5, watch for sales. Maybe Wally World? GI Joe's (I think now just called Joe's). I try to convince friends to buy guns in the same caliber-then we can split up online orders.

Sportsmans Warehouse has the best prices that I've found and the best variety. Walmart has most common calibers and decent prices but not much selection, some stuff is cheaper than sportmans but it's usually pretty close. Joes and Big 5 are over priced on most stuff but Joes has the best prices on the 250 round boxes of UMC but usually only in .45acp, 9mm and .223. I've shot a lot of the UMC 9mm and have liked it pretty well, it's FMJ and around $50 for 250 rounds.

You can buy cheap ammo at Sportsman's Warehouse but their good stuff is expensive and they have very little variety. I go to Cabellas for the large number of brands one can buy...and yes, cheap plinker practice can be found at Sportsman's Warehouse.

The drive from Seattle to Lacey would probably cost more than the ammo but yes Cabelas has some good prices too.

Are you super opposed to buying online? I frequent : buyammo.com, wideners.com, aimsurplus.com, and midwayusa.com often... boy do I go there often. Buy in bulk and SAVE YOUR BRASS and you will soon start reloading and you will have to go over to that forum for questions :)

Sportco in Fife is way cheaper than Sportsmans and they have a much larger selection too . They are cheap enough that I make the drive to there from Shelton regularly bypassing Cabelas and Sportsmans in Lacey .
