Academy recently offered nice ammo discounts--if you received a large, Mailed coupon. $20 from $100 minimum, or $40 from $200.

Pardon the clumsy double-----am tired.

My wife is about to move her insulin prescriptions to a Walmart pharmacy.

WalGreens'---misspelled to avoid misreading---pharmacy (Canada Rd. at Highway 64, Lakeland TN) screwed up her very routine processing in weird ways, and more than once, so she will "defect".
She has problems with Medicare already, and Walgreens just made it more challenging. A friend is a retired Manager of a Walmart Pharmacy and explained how their staffing / "X" quantity of prescriptions and procedures are a good bit better.

Ammo? Walmart seems hardly any cheaper than Academy.
Save even more money? Order ammo cases online. But tangible boxes of ammo have an allure.

I went to get a prescription this evening. Part of the recent remodeling includes reserved parking for pharmacy customers. Not exactly a driveup, but the spots are near the door closest to the pharmacy.

Wierdly I noticed a parking space with a flashing blue light over it. It has a sign that says law enforcement parking. I didnt take a picture of that one.

Nothing new as far as smmo bargains. I asked about any black friday knife deals but they dont seem to know of any yet.

I'm of the mindset of letting them eat it and burn the profit. I can get a better deal at my local gun store
the prices at my store have not gotten down to internet prices yet. i would like to get some of the calibers I don't shoot as much of though.

I don't see them selling it below cost as it is selling well anyway. Lots of noise to placate the far left I assume. Interesting to see where they are in about a year and a half on this.;)

I'm still amazed at how people react to ammos sales. Academy Sports can mark down the .225/556 ammo fifty cents or a dollar a box and people go crazy. Normally around here Academy and Walmart are around $1 a box cheaper than my local gun shop daily and maybe a little more if on sale. Most people are only going to buy 4-5 boxes at a time if that many and I'd rather pay the extra $4-5 to my gun shop to help keep him in business and I can get help if I need it especially if I want to sell or trade a gun. No one thinks about the big picture. I could understand if it were $10-15 a box but its just not that much money. Its very similar around here in SC, it was recently voted down to charge a .02 per gallon tax to fix these horrible roads. The majority of people that voted it down probably won't burn a tank of gas a week. A 20 gallon fill up would cost them a whopping 40 cents! Its people like me that drive 70k miles a year that would really pay and I'd gladly pay 2 cents a gallon more to have decent roads. Blinded by dollar signs!!

It is not "their ammo"; they are merely a retailer

I don’t care. They will never see another dime of my money. Period. I will never set foot in another Wal-Mart. Period.

Buy from them if you like. I do not care. Knock yourself out.

Walmart has stores that are about 5-10 minutes away from me no mater what city/area I'm in. It's convenient to be able to run in and buy a box or two of affordable ammo before a range trip... I've been checking in my area, and the prices are about the same as it's always been. Lots of people in my area buy ammo from Walmart, so that's probably why.

Yep, let's keep this thread about any discounts that are found.
You can shop where you wish, no need to make an argument out of it.
