I have at least 3 near me that sell reloading supplies. I may have bought a widget or two, but never any components that I can recall. I prefer to buy in bulk online at a better price.

I'm mostly a good capitalist, but I also see some benefits of socialism (roads, fire and rescue, libraries).
Surly you jest, US equipment shipped to the MIR space station had to have extra R&D done to package them adequately to survive the trip to the launch site.

I wish our Walmarts would come around. The only thing I've seen in ours is black powder stuff.
SOME Walmarts sell reloading supplies. The only one I've ever seen reloading supplies in is 125 miles from me. Not an economical solution for my reloading needs. Sources closer to home aren't exactly bargain priced but better than driving that distance.
Jet.com is owned by Walmart and directly competes with Amazon and sells shooting and reloading components. Here's listing of shooting and reloading related items - https://jet.com/c/sporting-goods/hunting/gun-maintenance/17000243

Jet.com offers several discount options (including free return you can opt out) and Walmart.com offers 2 day free shipping on millions of items. I opt out of free return on durable items. Walmart has a "soft" policy where the store manager can price match items sold and shipped by Amazon (just show the manager the webpage on your smartphone).

I think competition is good.

4 Walmart's near me no reloading components to be found. They just recently started getting their ammo shelves stocked back up. Only one of them sells guns. I guess that's because I live in a fishing area more than a hunting area.

No reloading supplies at any WM in the state of Maine that I have seen and a marginal selection of loaded ammo. They sell black powder long guns and projectiles but no powder.o_O They never had any handguns for sale around here either. We have enough local gunshops that they compete some and usually prices are reasonable so it works for me when I run out of something. Otherwise I buy in bulk on line about three times a year.YMMV:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Living in upstate New York, I am amazed that the local WM still sells long guns and ammo. I guess they will continue to sell them until hunting is outlawed. Never seen any reloading components or hand guns.

No Wal-Mart in my town but if I go 30 miles north, south or West I will hit one. Only the one to the south has reloading stuff. Sounds about like what the OP ran into. Hornady XTP handgun bullets, Sierra rifle bullets, some dies and primers. They have stickers on the shelf for 4 different powders and Titegroup is the only one suitable for handguns

The earliest I recall seeing a Walmart selling reloading supplies is around 2009 or so.
They don't have a lot but chances are if they have something you can use they will be the cheapest place to get it.

Since I don't live in America..I'm in People's Republic of NY, I can only envy you guys...

My local walmart in SW Virginia (lebanon) carries reloading supplies I have bought titegroup and unique at decent prices for 1lb cans and normally has a good selection of powders at least 10 varieties but only couple for pistol
