Well, I finally had some nice weather to go and shoot my NIB Walther P88 Compact. I've been playing with and dry firing for a week so I was pretty familar with by the time I was able to go shooting. All I can say is WOW! This is my new favorite pistol. While not quite as accurate as the full size P88 it is still very accurate. Also, for me, the grip is perfect, when I hold the gun in DA my finger lines up perfectly on the trigger. I put about 150-200 rnds through the pistol and had no problems at all. I am very impressed with this pistol. My only dislike is the position of the safety/decocker, which is mounted on the slide. I would prefer a frame mounted decocker like the P88 fullsize or a Sig. Now, I just need to find a good IWB holster for it and some affordable standard cap magazines, unfortunately my P99 mags won't work in the P88. Any other P88 or P88 Compact owners here at the High Road?

I like the concept of the ambi dual purpose lever of the P88, but the grips have to be so wide to cover the linkage that it makes the gun too big for my hand. The Compact is much more comfortable to me. Pity they came along right before the magazine ban, I might have splurged on one. Maybe after the sunset...

Yes, I own one of each and I've already given you good info on where to buy standard capacity mags for either the FS P88 or the 88C at the best prices. ;)

I bought a Kramer IWB #2 for my 88C and love it.

I just put about 300 rounds thru my FS P88 the other day just to remind myself how accurate this pistol really is. I shot it side by side with my Euro model P99. The P99 can't keep up with the P88.

I found it on GunsAmerica. I still paid alot but it was a good price as far as P88C's go. My GF, however wasn't too happy with me.:D Unfortunately, our Digital Camera is having compatability problems with our computer so I can't post pics. Earl has a nice pic at his sight, that's the one I drooled over.
JimC, I know you did! How long do those mags usually take to arrive from Germany? I saw something on one of their ads that I thought said 5-6 weeks:scrutiny:

That's if you go for the $10.00 shipping. If you pay for the $25.00 shipping you can expect them in a week to ten days via USPS.
;)

When you consider the price of the mags and if you order three you still save $'s even with the extra shipping costs.

They come direct from the factory in Germany, sealed in plastic, never even assembled until you put them together. :D

I have a P88C and was not all that impressed with it. Sure it is accurate, but not at accurate as a $300 CZ. The trigger is creepy in SA and too long and heavy in DA. I just bought mine in Sept last year for $688 out the door from Outdoor America in OKC. They had 4 of them all last year, I got the last one. I like a Browning, SIG, or CZ better than the Walther.
