I don't know why (my mid 20's age, pre love for the P99 from movies..) but I prefer a DA/SA trigger. I don't care about safeties. And I don't like a trigger safety on a short moving trigger.

It seems Walther perfected the DA/SA with the P99 Anti-Stress trigger (AS). You can pull the trigger to lock into single action. then press the decocker to move the trigger back to double action. brilliant. Though some don't like the hard pull of the double action of the p99, i haven't heard anything but how great the single action is on an AS P99.

Why doesn't the PPS have the DA/SA with a decocker on the slide like the P99?

I agree that the P99 AS has a wonderful SA trigger pull and it is one of the most accurate and naturally shooting handguns I've had the pleasure to fire.

I don't think the trigger on the PPS is all that bad, although I definitely prefer the trigger on my Kahr.

I like the trigger on my PPS, and Walther doesn't seem to be having trouble selling them with only one trigger option ... so I guess you're looking for a different pistol?
I'll buy that crummy PPS from you for $200 cash if you really don't like it!

I'm with Big Dave. I don't mind the trigger on the PPS, especially after putting a few hundred rounds through it. Sure, it's not my favorite trigger (gotta love the P99 AS). But you can get used to anything, and that's not a bad thing to attempt to do when your payoff is carrying as nice a gun as the PPS.

So what's the problem?

What is so bad about it?

Perhaps you shot one with the "H disconnector"......

I love my PPS trigger, though I wouldn't call it the best ever.

I also wish they would offer it in DA/SA in addition to DAO, but either way this is the trigger it has and I think it's just fine.... as long as you buy one with the "S disconnector".

The trigger on my 9mm PPS is excellent, I can't fault it.

Is it a Python? No. But it's not supposed to be.
