Ok, I have seen a lot of posts lately regarding the Beretta AL390, widely known as the "Wal Mart Gun". I came home from work today to find the Cabela's Sale flyer in my mailbox. The Beretta 390 is featured for $549.00.

Also, they list a Remington 870 with an HD barrel (it doesn't say, but I assume it is 18 1/2"), and a 26" field barrel. Price $399.00. Nice.

And to top it all off they list a Stoeger M2000 with a short HD barrel, and a 26" Field barrel. The Photo shows it with a vent rib. $459.00

I have no affiliation with Cabelas and no interest whatever other than I have seen numerous posts from people looking for the Beretta 390.

I have seen several posts stating that Remington did not have the 870 combo with 2 smooth bore barrels. Evidently they do.

And finally, I am just a fan of the Stoeger M2000 and think this is an incredibly good deal.

Here's a link to the flier online: http://cabelasflyers.dirxion.com/q0...p?CodeReleaseId=7.0.3.0001&BookCode=q0v09flx#

I have the 20 Gauge version of that 390. It's an unadorned but top-quality gas-operated semiauto with perfect fit and finish (not fancy finish, but well-done, kind of like a decent AR).

I highly recommend the things.

depending on what you are looking for. The "new" 390 and 3901 are made in america, you can get a used 390 for less then the wally world/cabelas special and it is italian made with wood. If you are looking for a synthetic it is the same action and same gun. Just produced in USA from one of berettas many ventures.

I am looking for a used silver mallard in the tacoma, wa area myself. The 390 just felt a bit cheap but looked like they could take a beating.

I am also on the fence to buy the new extrema 2, beretta is offering the k/o in the mail or free on all non-k/o models.

My "Wal Mart 390" is made in Italy.

But it's a 20 Gauge. Never try to figure out Beretta.:)

I WANTED synthetic, for my purpose, though. It's hard to get a Beretta 20 in synthetic. They must not hunt in steep mountains and canyons in Italy or something. Most of my guns are polished blue and walnut; the whole reason I got this one was to get one for rough use.:)

Mine's a gunshop 390 Sporting 20 ga 28" barrell Made in Italy, since its a Sporting Clays gun it does not have bright blued barrel etc but the wood is high gloss nice figure/

If you bought it from walmart it should be a USA made gun. The barrel may be made in italy. The cabelas gun is made in usa.

Except that mine, which I bought at Cabela's, says "Made in Italy" on the right side of the receiver. Not the barrel.

Like I said, it's a 20.

The 12s I've seen said "Made in USA."
