Wanted: Load Data for Thompson Contender / Encore for 15" .308 Win

I have finally purchased my first Thompson Encore in .308 Win. It has a SS 15" barrell with 2-6x32 scope. In my Rem 700 PSS I have worked up my fair share of special loads. Looking for someone to share this type of load data with me for the T/C Encore 15" in .308 Win. Of course, the usual data + accuracy at various ranges. I will be using for both target shooting and big game hunting. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Todd

Any load that shoots well in your rifle should do well in the encore. You will lose some velocity with a 15" barrel but accuracy should still be great. The encore barrels are of very high quality and shoot well with just about anything. I've never had one in .308 but in my 15" barrels i use the same loads i use in my bolt action rifles. Just stay away from slow burning powders which are not very suitible for .308 anyway.
