on a two scope bundle. I got the impression from the salesman that Bass Pro is going to stop carrying Burris scopes. I was looking specifically for a Burris. He showed me a Fullfield II 3-9x40 and a Fullfield E1 4.5-14x42 for $249.88. Then he gave me a 5% veteran's discount. So, $237.39 OTD for both brand new scopes. I guess now I'll have to find a couple of rifles to mount them on.

That is a deal. I really like the FF-II and think it is a great scope. I can't get used to the reticle on the E1, but at that price would learn. I think they are great scopes too.

Wasn't sure I would like it either, but it grows on you. Actually, I got it because of deteriorating eyesight and the heavier hash marks are a lot easier to see.

Nice score! Sounds like the kind of deal too good to pass up, even if you don't have the rifles to mount them on!

Man, good deal! I need to rescope a couple of rifles, I may just drop by...

Stay safe!

I buy a lot at cabelas. The bargain cave mostly. I've found some really cheap stuff. Now the shelves are a different story. Usually quite high. Bristol has a bass pro And a cabelas 10 minutes apart. They do not have the same pricing. Even after the buyout

I have a bass pro and cabela's that is one exit a part. The bargain cave was taken out the week bass pro took over. The prices went to bass pro prices and lots of bass pro hat and t-shirts showed up.

Enjoy your Cabelas, it won't be too much longer and you won't recognize it as a "Cabelas"!

I had a couple "insiders" tell me, that in time, BP (Bass Pro) will be phasing out all the fire arms...

They are already lowering the Cabelas quality of their clothing line, by switching it out to BP lines...

I look at the flyers they send me, and occasionally find one thing or another, like Berry's bullets at 20% off, or bootfoot waders for $79, etc.

I haven't totally written them off.

I don't think Bass Pro or Cabelas will ever get rid of guns as long as John Luke Morris, or when he passes his son, owns the majority of BP. They bought 1200 acres to build a trap/skeet/sporting clays and firearm education center in southern Missouri. Now, I don't know how they feel about EBRs/MSRs and such, but they certainly aren't anti-gun.

I’ve scored some great scope deals at Cabela’s. They practically give away models that are to be discontinued.

They closed out Howa Mini's awhile back. I would tell you what I paid for one but you wouldn't believe me. I didn't believe it either until I walked out of the store with it. I thought it had to be a mistake.:D

That's probably less than one Burris at normal retail. Burris is and always has been top-o-the-line glass. I buy Luepold exclusively but if they weren't around Burris would get my money. Smokin deal as they say. :D

You're right about Burris quality, CT49. I have 7; all but one are the same scopes OP got for $249 ! Those two scopes sell for $564 currently at one of the least expensive optics outlets in the US.

What a deal :what:!

Good score. I bought the same combo a couple months ago. Both scopes have differing “problems”. The FF II has got to have the hardest to turn magnifier I’ve ever tried to turn. You actually have to turn the entire eye piece. And it’s not easy (if someone knows a solution, I’m all ears) And the E1 has fairly poor eye relief but they fixed the magnifier problem as now you just turn the ring. Other than those two things, they are great glass.

I'd contact Burris; shouldn't be that difficult to turn power ring, none of mine are difficult to turn and Burris CS is great. Only had one issue w/Burris and that was 4.5-14 FFII that did not track. Called CS, was told to return scope and they resolved the problem.

I think I’ll do that. I hate to send the scope back. It was actually perfectly zeroed when I installed it on the rifle. Don’t know what the odds are of that. But I feel like it’s some kind of sign. But I’m serious. It’s hard to turn. Takes almost my full grip strength. My girlfriend (it’s on her AR-47 I built for her) can’t even turn it. I have to do it for her.

Once in a while, something bound to slip by QC. I was pleased with their CS when I needed it.
Forgot to mention, eye relief has never been a problem for me w/the 4.5-14 but mine are on relatively light recoiling rifles (243 WSSM and 308 Win) and I mount them pretty far forward as I tend to crawl the stock.
