Waterlox Tung Oil Finish for stocks?

Reading the msds sheet, it uses a petroleum based solvents to speed drying time--naptha, benzene, and Stoddard's solvent.

I would not use the stuff indoors without strong ventilation but otherwise it is like other wood oils. I would be very careful about proper disposal of rags, etc. that you use with the stuff and not use it around an open flame.
 
I haven’t used Waterlox on a gun stock, but just used it when finishing my new butcher block countertops on my kitchen re-model. Came out really nice. I wouldn’t hesitate to use it on a gun stock. Nicest thing about it is it is very easy to touch up scuffs. Just give a quick wipe in area to be touched up with mineral spirits and apply. No sanding required, and finish is absolutely seamless.
 
I've always mix tung oil and mineral spirits when I start on a stock and only use pure tung oil on the last coat, I do the same thing with BLO.
