What do you guys think of the Weatherby Orion? My grampa was given an original Orion a few years ago, which he then gave to me. I have hunted with it several times, as well shot clay pigeons, and it seems like a very nice gun.

Give me your honest opinion on the gun, because I really don't know much about it.

They are a decent gun, though I never owned one but have shot a couple. I could never warm up to the way they felt, kind of boxy and clunky to me, but others like them. I have never seen more than a handful on the clays ranges so they don't have much of a following.

I've got an SKB, which is the same thing minus the weatherby stamp and a $400 price raise, and I love it.

Read my post: "O/U multi-use choice-need advice from the experts." Right now I almost wish I had mine back! LOL!

They are a bit "boxy" and I definitely prefer the fit and feel of my new Citori XS, CS but Weatherbys are a great value for the money even if you like it a little fancy and an even better one if you don't care and can pick up an SKB as was suggested.
