Weaver Marksman scope

I picked up a Weaver Marksman 4x scope at a gun show. It is a blued steel 1" tube with very clear glass. The seller could only tell me it was probably made in the 1960's. Everything works; and the finish is 95%. What feedback do you have on this scope? I think it is 34mm.

I have one that I bought new around 1972(or there abouts) at a Western Auto store. It is the only scope that I bought in my early years that I still have and use. The only thing I have against it is the very thin cross hairs. That wasn't a problem or even noticable until my vision started going. I saw one recently valued at <$30.

I had the 3-9X variable version Marksman from the same period, similar deal right down to the fine crosshairs. A serviceable scope but nothing fancy even in the 1970s. That was their economy line with smaller objective lens, no adjustable objective, and the old style Weaver W&E as the Accutrak came in on their nicer ones.

Ah, Western Auto. Still remember the smell. Guns, tires, bicycles... guns at Sears and Montgomery Wards... those were the days.
