I just got a nice new weaver style scope mount for my 10/22, and now I have to replace the scope rings on my BSA .22 special scope.

Can i just go and get a pair of weaver style rings, and expect them to work with my scope? Do i have to get a particular size? As you can tell, I've never done this before :p

Any maker of Weaver style rings should fit your base just fine. However, you need to get the appropriate size rings to fit your scopes. There are 2 measurements you need to worry about: the diameter of the scope tube, (either 1 inch or 30mm....yours is most likely 1 inch) and the ring height (usually low, medium, high). The ring height is dependent upon your cheekweld and the size of the scopes objective....you basically want the scope as close to the gun as possible without it interfering with anything (barrel, bolt knob, sights, etc.). Someone else here may be able to point you in the right direction as far as the height....unfortunately I am not familiar with your particular scope.

Good Luck.

I just recently put a 22 Special on one of my Enfield Rifles. It was very difficult to get actual Weaver rings on the scope without scratching the scope up a bit. The space between the turrets and the ocular bell is pretty small.

Millet Weaver-style rings should suit you just fine.

Visit Midway's website www.midwayusa.com
Check the technical data section. They have a great chart on rings of various manufacturers. The dimensions needed to calculate and select the appropriate height ring required for a given scope are in the chart. Data for any scope Midway carries is found in the technical data for that product.
Take Care
