Weaver Tactical Sunshade

Hi Folks,

I believe this is a revisited subject but I cannot find anything recent on the topic. I have a Weaver Tactical 4-20x50mm scope and it appears Weaver does not make a sunshade that fits this scope anymore....even though they took the time to thread the scope for a sunshade. I had seen in old posts that the Weaver Super Slam 50mm would fit the Tactical model but I cannot seem to find one of those available either. Has anyone found another sunshade that will fit the Weaver Tactical 50mm scopes? I've never had much use for a sunshade until recent years where the only time I typically have a chance to get to the range is in the evening while the sun is low. Because the range faces the southwest, it can really put a damper on the little range time I get. Thanks in advance for any help at all.

Use a TP or paper towel cardboard roll thingy. Cheap and replaceable. Or you can spend $50.95 for one from Weaver.

Not a bad idea on the TP roll. However, I would prefer something a little sturdier that might not fall off from recoil or wind. The one from Weaver is no longer available. Not sure why they still have it on their site but I appreciate the response. Thanks.
