Looking for info on a Webley .450/.455 with markings of "WG" target model with a 7 1/2" barrel. SN 21872. Revolver is in fine shape. I have shot it. Locks up great and shoots fine. Wondering about when it was made and possible value.

A commercial version of the old British warhorse.

I've no way to date it, but it's pre-1963 at least. Like any collectible...it's value is based on finding the right buyer. You might try researching on the various auction sites to see what similar ones have sold for.

Hornady makes ammo for it as you may already know.

WG= Webley Green, actually a predecessor to the Webley and Scott British service pistol. Probably made in the 1890s. Value of a WG Target is high if in good condition and not mutilated for .45 ACP.
