Any idea what a Webley Mark I with the cylinder converted to .45ACP with moon clips is worth? The gun looks all original and has the broad arrow proof mark on just about every piece - including a very large one on the topstrap.

At least 80% of the blueing is left and the gun locks up tight. Action appears to be all in proper timing. I don't think anyone did much shooting with this gun. Grips also look great.

The conversion looks to be well done - not a hack job. There's also lots of British proof marks all over this gun (crown over BV, crown over BP, crown over NP, crown over BB or B8 or B9, crown over VR/2P)

I'll try to post pics in the near future. Sice it's an early gun, I don't plan on shooting it unless I load some real soft ammo.

Check Auction Arms for completed auctions, there is a seller there who specializes in Webley's. But, in answer to your question, it isn't worth much. MKIs were black powder firearms and should NEVER be fired with modern ammo; plus any collector value has been ruined by the conversion.

clang-have a 1892 Mark 1 Navy model with the 45 acp conversion. While the conversion seriously affects the collector value, the prices on the conversions appear to have been going up, sometimes advertised in the $4-500 dollar range (i don't know if anyone actully bought the ones seen at this price on GunsAmerica). It also seems to be a limited market, although there are not many Mark 1's around?.

Gator gave excellent advise about never shooting modern factory rounds through it.
