@ correia Just preordered, SIIIIIIIGGHHHH, don't wana wait that long, poo, really loved this story, please elaborate more to me either on here or in a pm about monster hunter? I kinda read this thread in a weird way, I was already skimming all the posts for NC stuff and by he time I had cought your stuff it was too late so I didn't get much of it read, but I'm very interested

Peavy, a Mover is a telekinetic. They can manipulate physical items with their mind. As Francis describes it, a thousand invisible hands. Though the amount of weight that they can move at any one time, and the speed that they can move it, is dependent upon the individual. A Heavy alters the strength and direction of gravity. It is one area, one direction, one force. The size and strength of the alteration is dependant on the Heavy.

Wow, that is a thread diversion. :)

Giterboosted, my MH series started as a self published novel here on THR. It is now a New York Times bestseller from Baen books. If you go over to Amazon, there are over 100 reviews of it it you want to check that out.

Long story, but I was wandering around a bookstore slightly drunk on an early Friday night, and while I couldn't remember exactly what your name was, I remembered it started "Cor", and I still couldn't find a copy of MHI on the shelves. Not sure why it never occurred to ask an employee, they could have ordered it, I'm sure.

Guess it will have to go on the Amazon order

Thanks Correia, that makes sense. I was arguing the physics of it with a friend. The Mover works with forces and the Heavy works with accelerations, which is why the Mover's abilities are affected by mass but the Heavy's aren't.

Also, could a heavy create a field around/in front of themself to stop/deflect bullets? Or to possibly increase the density of the air to slow them? It's obviously not the most efficient use of the ability, but do you think it might work?

Man, what a ride! A Great big thanks to Larry and Mike for an intensely compelling story.

I was aggravated and disgusted with what I saw on my newsfeeds a few months ago, so I searched for some escape fiction in any genre. Fantasy/scifi/swords and sorcery, whatever.

First, I found American Apocalypse, which led to Uprising on We The Armed, which bled into Matt Mayner, then of course, Larry Correia's stuff, which so far has culminated in the discovery of THIS on THR.

Dang, I'm IMPRESSED! I thought I was a good writer, and maybe I am, but I am in the presence of PURE GENIUS here! :D

Anyways, jus' thought I'd throw in my 2 cents and bow to true masters of the art here. Y'all take care, and I'm fer sure buying alla yer stuff!

In this depression turning to economical/social collapse, I need something to wind down with, and this is the perfect prescription for a smile as I sleep...

- With gratitude and a tip of the hat,
Tom. :)

Well, to update, the book will be out September 27. (now twice as big and actually proof read!) http://www.amazon.com/Dead-Six-Larr...ef=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308581015&sr=8-1-spell

Autographed copies are going to be kind of hard to do, since Nightcrawler is going to be in Afghanistan during the release. So he signed 300 bookplate stickers, and we're going to stick those in the front covers of the books ordered from Uncle Hugos. (I'll post their ordering link up when it is ready)

Nightcrawler shipped out this week. He is in Florida for the next month for deployment training, then off to Afghanistan. He's an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Tech, which means that he gets to go defuse roadside bombs. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers. It is a very dangerous job.

Initial success or total failure. God speed, Mr. Nightcrawler.

I just finished Larry Correia's new novel, "Hard Magic." I bought a copy at Hastings in Boise, when Larry had a book signing there a few weeks ago. I enjoyed it. Larry has an active and creative imagination.

Nice to meet you, Larry. Hope your Hollywood deal is cooking right along.

L.W.

Just read this whole post in two days,(got nothing done at work)

I'm looking forward to the finished version!

I'll try to get the local bookstore guy to get one in for me. ASAP!!!:cuss:

Good read guys, thanks, I crave good reading :)

Here is the link for autographed (by both of us) copies.

http://www.unclehugo.com/prod/ah-correia-larry.php

When one of the authors is busy defusing bombs in Afghanistan during the release month, it makes getting signatures sort of tough. But we thought ahead, and Mike and I signed a couple hundred book plates before he shipped out. This is the only place you can get autographed copies with both of our signatures until he gets home.

If you don't care about the autograph, then you can get it from B&N, Amazon, or most bookstores. It will be shipping around the end of October.

Already preordered it off Amazon, but might order another one just to support you. Great work! Your story is one of the things that really got me coming to this forum initially. I just had to keep coming back to read more.

Has to be done

Sorry folks... Just finished reading the book again and thought i would bring this thread back from the archives to let some of the newer members "find"it.

To anyone looking for a good read, the book is DEAD SIX and can be bought on Amazon.

Larry and Mike did a fantastic job and congrats are in order for this and Larry's continued success.

If you have never read the thread... Prepare to lose a couple of days.
