welded rpk muzzle nut

i have an rpk with a welded on barrel nut, i want to know how to remove it (saw through welding?) and if the threads underneath will be good. and what kind of brakes i can get for it

I used a file to get thru the weld without going too far.

Which RPK do you have? My AES-10B had perfectly good threads under the nut. BSW

Ditto the file. Threads should be fine. You will need to buy a nut/flash hider/brake which is manufactured in the USA to avoid breaking some ridiculous laws, though. Unless you decrease your imported parts count elsewhere.
