So I was in search of a 130 grain bullet load for the rams for my Tikka in 6.5x55 Swede. In a previous thread,(https://www.thehighroad.org/index.php?threads/i-guess-this-will-do.845923/ ) I reported the 108 gr. Lapua Scenar load that shot a ten round group well under an inch at 100 yards. It had 2 flyers outside a ragged hole that could be covered with a dime.

This 130 grain Berger load doesn't have any of the flyers out side the ragged hole, but the ragged hole is slightly larger. It measured 0.726" center to center.

Recipe: 130 grain Berger, 45.4 grains IMR4955, CCI200, Hornady case, COAL = 3.110".

Looks like I am ready for the Silhouette matches! Now if I could just hold that steady offhand....

This Tikka is definitely a keeper!

Looks like you have a very good load there. Don't overlook the cheap old Hornady match bullets. They outshoot their price tag in my 6.5 Swedish military rifles. Can't compare to your groups with an iron sighted military rifle, but the Hornady 140HPBT really sings a pretty song, at least as good as the Bergers and Lapuas I've tried. The 123 Amax was very good too, but occasionally one didn't like my rifling twist rate and the long barrel of the M96 coming apart before 200 yards.
