Well, Turn the lights off on Wa. State.

The antigunners end up with a net loss for their side.

They have been some of the best gun sales people in the history of firearms but as long as they are getting what they ask for, it's considered a win for them.

If they don't like the results they get, they will just want even more control or just use false information (known know as "fake news").

I agree, but in a lawless society like Seattle. We tried defunding the police and that didn’t work out too well. You guys DON’t understand what lawlessness looks like!

Like I said Glock Switched are pretty much a “legal” thangs here if your a criminal
I know very much what a lawless society looks like. I've been to places that are truly lawless. The worst parts of the US still aren't lawless.

As for GLOCK switches, they shouldn't be illegal to begin with.

But the issue comes down to this.

The residents of Seattle wanted it, so they got it.

The residents of Seattle wanted a softer and kinder police force, but more importantly, they wanted a softer and kinder State Attorney's Office. The issue isn't the police. It is the State Attorney's Office, they are the revolving door to the criminal justice system for certain segments of the criminal class. All while they're going hardcore enforcement on the law-abiding. They're getting what they voted for.

our CCW is a fingerprint (home kit during covid) fed check, and mailed to your mailbox!

Out 2A stances was AMAZING, and in 8 years. Eroded to dust. and out crime is now out of control
During the pandemic, the Florida ceased processing and issuing CCWs for a period of time. Again, as a Floridian, I used to be envious of Washington.

Correct. Absolute power absolutely corrupts, no matter which political wing has it.

But the State holding people accountable for their own actions is a pretty good start.

Sadly, the children who were given gray, mauve and pink ribbons for their 10th, 11th and 12th place finishes all their young lives are now the ones with the political numbers that keep pushing us into the situation we are in now. The “participation trophy” generation has been fully taught that there is no such thing as a bad person, it’s all the fault of something else. (Aka all the “root cause” BS.) So lets transfer all the blame to the gun for the actions, not the crook.

Good luck Washington State 🙏 .

Stay safe.
And who raised the generation of children "who were given gray, mauve and pink ribbons for their 10th, 11th and 12th place finishes all their young lives?" Blaming the current political issues solely on the younger demographics is a bit of a fool's errand since those values were instilled in them by the older generations.

I didn’t vote for any of this, So I have room to complain. Like I always said, Seattle is temporary. Southern States is where I’m going back to.

Reagan pushed gun control. Is he a RINO? What about Trump? He pushed gun control too. Is he a RINO?
Yeah, I dislike Reagan for the fact he made it virtually impossible for me to own a full auto Thompson.

You're looking for exceptions to the rule in order to defend your personal politics. Stick to the issue, viz. just because some liberal fool owns a gun doesn't make him a good citizen. He'll still vote liberal.

These are things most folks don't know. Many of today's gun owners didn't own guns when Reagan was President, or may not have even been born yet. Some just have short memories. Politicians ride an agenda/platform many times that does not reflect what is best for America, but what is best for them. They say what their constituents and those that fund them want to hear. Today the sky may be blue, but tomorrow it may be green. Anybody that was alive after the Kennedy assassinations knows that the whole country, both left and right, had strong sentiments towards more gun control and is a major reason the GCA of 1968 was enacted. Same with the Brady Bill after the attempt on Reagan....which Reagan supported heavily.

......yet, those kids that received those "participation" trophies were participating in something positive and constructive, and most likely were involved because of support from their parents. They also spent a good part of their time doing that positive and constructive thing, so they didn't get into trouble, and had to keep their grades up to participate. These aren't the kids that we need to worry about, for the most part. And, since when did education become a bad thing?

While I am not for any more gun control for law abiding citizens, I also don't see this law as being as much as "anti-gun", as it is keeping guns from the hands of criminals(security systems and employee BG checks) and the protection of the gun dealers themselves(Liability insurance). As I and others have said, for the most part, responsible FFLs are probably already doing this even in states where it is not required by law. In the past, around here, it wasn't the larger more responsible FFLs that were allowing for straw purchases or making deals under the table with no 4473 for used guns, it was the kitchen table FFL. Kinda why they made that license harder to get.

I'm all for more punishment for any criminal that uses a gun to commit a crime. I am all for heavier fines/punishment for folks that allow weapons to get into the hands of children and those that are prohibited. I am on the fence about making all gun transfers(i.e. FTF) go thru FFLs, but mostly because I rarely if ever buy used from someone I don't know personally.

What would be the basis for the lawsuits? Putting onerous requirements on dealers is not directly a 2nd Amendment issue. While it seems that established brick-and-mortar gun stores could satisfy the requirements (perhaps at high cost), the real targets are home-based, part-time,"kitchen table" FFL dealers. Net effect would be to channel the gun trade into a very few hands.
I'm pretty sure that I've read where other States or Cities have been sued on the basis of Constitutional Rights. Maybe I'm wrong? Don't know about the Treason thing.

The California liberals are branching out and bringing it with them. The state is broke from entitlements and horrible on gun laws then the exodus started.

My contention has always been that, like it or not, there are plenty of guns to go around, and so realistically, any criminal who wants one for himself will get one. He’ll buy it off a fellow n’er-do-well, he’ll steal it from someones glovebox or dresser drawer, he’ll trade some drugs for it, he’ll send his girlfriend in to make a straw purchase, etc. In this light, any access controls at all (licensed dealers and bg checks) don’t make a lot of sense, because they inconvenience the law-abiding and don’t do a lot to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. Counterpoint to that is that a lot of straw purchases are blatantly obvious and make it clear that the criminal element pursuing them isn’t exactly the smartest, so I do think having the default way to buy a new gun being somewhat “controlled” is a good thing. It’s not that inconvenient for the law-abiding and it does probably keep guns out of the hands of the very laziest/least responsible class of criminal.

The problem with any gun control is that in general it doesn’t work -work in the sense of being a “magic bullet” that makes all violent crime disappear. And once you’ve conceded the point that some is ok, well, why not a little more? Or a lot more? As long as you have crime you’ll have someone who is scared of guns wanting to ban the evil lead-shooting death rays. (Just like people who don’t like the smell of cigarette smoke readily got behind the idea that all society’s health problems would be ameliorated if we banned them everywhere.) The “Puritan” approach to moral questions has a long history in this country. And it’s a lot more politically palatable to blame objects or substances than humans for social problems.

Washington politicians are going hard in, on opting for the easiest way out. It probably won’t accomplish anything substantial.

What's funny is California used to be a Republican and conservative bastion. Heck, during the Great Depression, law enforcement in California did "bum patrols" and worked to keep Okies out of their state. California didn't really start to become leftist until after WWII when you had a massive migration of GIs and their families move there. Their kids, the Baby Boomers are what turned California leftist.

Family was in Spokane, Las Vegas and AZ.....while you were sleeping the elections have been fixed and stolen. Local elections, one after another, comtrilled by the states themselves. You not getting involved has cost you your state. No one took it from you, you gave it to them, by not caring.
Now it is a fight to get everything back, a long and hard fight, or pack your crap and leave.

I fought the crud from Miami Dade/Broward for fourty years to get it all back, we got it all back, back to zero. It would have been far easier to keep it to start with. The fights start with school boars, water districts, city councils, county commissions, judgeships and goes up the ladder one election at a time, just like you lost it.

Yup, the politically apathic caused this. For years, no, for decades, people sat on the sidelines. What's even more interesting is that many claim to be politically active. When I ask them what is their political activism they tell me they vote. That isn't political activism. That's just voting. That's being a political hobbyist.

Someone that is actually politically active works or volunteers for campaigns. They go to their local city halls and state capitols and meet with lawmakers. They speak for or against legislation. They lobby, they strategically time and money, they're involved.

Very few Americans are that.

on a positive note just earlier today a judge ruled with an injunction on WA State magazine ban so as of now folks in WA CAN buy any magazine they want ,
we must continue to fight back in Court there is hope , giving up and turning tail we will always loose

Ferguson got the state Supreme Court to issue a stay within a couple hours. 😡

I'm in WA. My guess is this law won't matter to brick and mortar gun dealers like Cabela's and Sportsmans Warehouse. Many mom and pop dealers have already closed up shop here. This new law will probably close the rest of them.

This new law will force people to buy from the retailers instead of purchasing on the internet and having a firearm shipped to an FFL here. I've done my last internet purchase. I had a problem with both UPS and the FFL last summer. Just isn't worth the hassle for me anymore. I purchased a used shotgun from Cabelas a few months ago. They don't have the staff to handle the firearms traffic. You can literally wait for hours to talk to a sales person. Then wait another 10 days for a background check. Then wait for them to call you to pick up your firearm, which they never do. You have to go back in person and demand they do the paperwork on a firearm that you already purchased and give it to you. That's just where I live.

So as of last fall I'm not buying anything or even looking. The state has made it almost impossible to buy or sell, which was their goal. That's fine. I'll just buy more ammo. So far they haven't messed with shipping ammo.
Several vendors no longer ship ammo to WA state. I've had 3 denials just this week. Choose wisely. This sucks!

I'm not sure why. There are no restrictions for having ammo shipped to WA. I'm not having any problems getting ammo shipped to my front porch. Placed an order a few days ago and it's in route.

Who's not shipping ammo to WA?
