What 5.56 should I purchase to stock up on?

Long term storage and good SHTF 5.56 - what gives?

I'm looking for 5.56 rounds that will store well over time and will perform well when called upon. M193 or M855 is what it will come down to. More will come out of a 16" barrel as opposed to a 20" barrel. 1-7 and 1-9 twists. What are your recommendations? Thanks and vote for McCain.

I would go with M193 Prvi. It is much cheaper than lake city, available, and still pretty good ammo. If you have unlimited funds get LC, otherwise I would go with Prvi.

forgive me if I'm wrong, but arent some of those listed actually .223 and not real 5.56? If you're looking for actual 5.56, then some of those need to be crossed off.

I prefer Federal XM193 for my stash and general home defense ammo. I stock up on Prvi M193 for plinking, training, etc...

In a serious SHTF scenario I would want the extra penetration of the m855. I voted LC but I really dont know much about Privi. For general HD I would probably use something else though.
