I went to the good ol wally world, and bought 4 100 round VAL-U-PACKS of federal 12 guage shells.

Or so I thought, one of them was a 100 pack of 20 guage.

Ol Wally world wont take it back, so... I am stuck with em. And no 20 guage shotguns.

So.. now what? What good are shotgun shells in a guage you dont shoot? Any ideas? harvest the powder and shot, put them in containers till I get started reloading lol.... yeah maybe not.

Any ideas?

This is the perfect excuse to buy a 20 ga shotgun!

Or sell them in the paper for a little less then the Wallyworld price.

Breaking them down for components would be a massive waste of time and perfectly good shotgun shells.

trade them with a buddy or pick up a used single barrel H&R 20 ga for next to nothing.

I would advise against harvesting the powder. The primers and shot should be alright, but that seems like a lot of work to me.

any possibility of getting a 20 ga any time soon? know anyone with a 20 ga?

make some nasty firecrackers or boobie-traps...hehe

Good excuse to buy a new shotgun. Can't let perfectly good shells go to waste.

I just bought my mom a H&R 20 gauge for 80 bucks out the door with a box of shells from a pawn shop. I'd go that route.

Post for sale at local gun club for competitive price, someone will bite.

Not sure of your location, but if by some strange twist of fate you are in central IL I would be willing to buy for reasonable price.

I am 15 minutes SE of Indianapolis IN, East of Greenwood and if any HighRoaders want them they are yours.

I like standardizing my stock of calibers, and these are worse than useless to me.

Long drive for a box of shells, but I'd use 'em up. LOL I bought an H&R 20 for my daughter. She didn't like it, a little light and kicks a bit much for a kid. I sold it for 50 bucks, coulda been yours. :D It was a neat little gun, but I'd never use it and this guy at work's boy needed a shotgun.

Thx for the offer, Indy's about 6hrs from home, hardly worth that kind of gas $$ to save a little on some shells.

Seriously though, post at the gun club, or even bring them to the skeet/trap/clays course and find some guy(s) shooting 20s and ask them if they are interested. Whats worst case scenario? They say no thank you.

See. That's why you shouldn't buy shells from Chinamart! :fire: If you'd gotten them at a local gun store, they would have let you exchange them and you'd have been helping support "poor ol' mom and pop." ;)

You knew somebody was going to say it. :D

I'd get a 20 ga. gun. No sense in having ammo you can't shoot. Not too long ago I found a box of 30/30 ammo in the gun cabinet. Now I've got a Marlin 30/30.
