This thread is to share companies based on past experience from ordering ammunition from them, for the ease an benefit of the members here.

- List the name or names of company.
- what you ordered, calibers types and amounts did you order?
- What was the weight if you remember?
- What did they charge you for shipping?
- How long did it take to get to you?
- Were you satisfied?

I'm all about sharing good advice.

An obvious site that first comes to mind that if you don't know about it you will love it, is http://www.Gunbot.net
It has real time tracking of tons of websites you can filter searches to price per round and in stock only. awesome place to start.

- the ammunition store http://ammunitionstore.com/
- 7.62x39 Ammo 123gr HP Wolf WPA Polyformance 1000 Round Case for $209
- weight is 37.7#
- I was charged $23.99
- ordered 8/7/2014 at midnight it will arrive 8/9/2014
- Were you satisfied? Yes the fastest shipping I've ever had in all of my online purchases not just shooting related! Highly recommended!!

http://www.Palmettostatearmory.com Is a good one too.
They usually have the best deal on CCI mini-mags or darn close to it.
Ive ordered 1500 rounds of CCI off of them alone. The mini mags run awesome in my SR22 .22 pistols are finky little things.
All in all Palmetto State Armory has been a great experience all around.

Ammoseek is another website that links to retailers and internet sales. It lists by cost per round but does not include shipping unfortunately.

I have ordered from MidwayUSA & CheaperThanDirt (long time ago). Neither recent enough to be worth quoting on shipping or quantity, as its quite possibly outdated.

I've never been disappointed at Midway.

Freedommunitions looks to have pretty good prices, but havent ordered from them. In the event that I want to order more than a box or 2 of .308 or .45, I will probably give them a try.

Locally, Im fortunate to have a Bass Pro, so I havent been ordering ammo lately.

Just got a Wheeler FAT torque driver from Midway for $48.00 and they charged me $11.00+ for shipping outrageous as far as I'm concerned, I hate to order anything from them to be perfectly honest.

MidSouth Shooters Supply seem to be a lot more reasonable on their products as well as their shipping.

Sources for online ammo sales....

I'm blessed to live in a state that's mostly 2A+ & allows ammunition sales(delivery) with few restrictions. A few vendors ask that you document that you are over 21 years old for handgun calibers.
I've purchased or ordered from these sites; www.Brownells.com www.sgammo.com www.policehq.com www.natchezss.com www.cabelas.com www.midwayusa.com www.grafs.com www.shopcorbon.com www.gilbertsguns.com www.ableammo.com .
SGammo.com is great. :D They are fast & well run. They sometimes stock hard to find brands like HST, Ranger T/T Series, Speer Gold Dot, DPX, DRT.
MidwayUSA has great S/H now and they support the NRA.

"Gunbot" is a good search engine for many popular chamberings.

SGAmmo has supplied me with several large cases of 7.62x39 were since March. Prices were always among the very lowest, shipping charges are reasonable and arrived often by the fourth day.

Another benefit was having bought cases of "Ukrainian" (more or less) from them recently, instead of Russian, which was normal before last spring.
But maybe this point is too subtle.

+1 on GunBot.

That being said, I usually wind up buying my .45 ACP and my 9MM Luger from LAX Ammo. Excellent prices and great people to deal with. (It's been so long since I've bought any 9MM Makarov, 7.62X25 Tokarev, or 7.65 Browning that I don't even remember who I did buy them from.)

Been buying from ammoman.com for over 15 years, haven't had reason to find another online source. I buy by the case and prices quoted include shipping. He ships next day I order and UPS does the rest.

Just wish he'd get some .22lr in stock.

I buy from Sportsmansguide.com when they run a free or reduced shipping special or $x dollars off special.
Grafs.com has a flat 7.95 shipping charge. Obviously that makes more sense if you order a lot of ammo or relaxing supplies.

Sorry, can't help you. My ammo comes from my basement, except for 22LR...which doesn't seem to be coming from anywhere.

I have good experiences over the last few years with AmmoMan.com, Luckygunner.com, and ammunition togo.com. They had what I ordered in stock and shipped it out pretty quickly.

Georgia Arms:

500 rounds of new .45 Colt, 250 gr. RNFP. (Ten 50 round packs at $27.00 each, Canned Heat was not available.)

Cost with S&H was $292.00. Ordered it on a Friday and got it the following Wednesday or Thursday.

Had good service recently from cheaperthandirt, ammoman, sgammo, and aimsurplus for bulk loaded ammo. Have ordered from a number of other places in past years but cannot attest to how they are today. Great service as well from missouribullets, midway, speer, and cabelas for components. Lately I have found some local sources who have become competitive once shipping is factored into the price for both rifle and pistol ammo and components (powder selection limitations aside) so things are getting better.

Bought lots of ammo lots of places. All seem to do well IMO. I have bought more from Ammo To Go and The Ammo Man but only because they have had what I wanted at a good price. But I've bought from dozens of different places online and never had a problem.

I generally try to buy from a LGS if I can though. It's always good to keep the local shops open in case I need something quick. So I buy locally most of the time.

Bulkammo.com.

Best variety and largest selection. Always options and typically cheapest around.

Even during the ammo crunch they had 1000 rounds of most brands cheaper than anywhere else. Sure it was 2x what it is now, but it was 2.5x everywhere else.

Usually shipping is about $22 and an order on Monday gets there by Wednesday or Thursday.

i've also purchased ammo from sgammo and have been incredibly happy with the prices, shipping, and packing quality
