Handled a Stoeger 8000 9mm with the silver finish today, I like the gun but the dealer couldn't tell me anything about the the finish. It's unlike any I've seen on a gun and there doesn't seem to be much about it on the internet that I can find. Anyone know anything about what it is and how well it holds up?

thanks

It is Bruniton which is used on Beretta guns like the 92fs. It is a epoxy/teflon over parkerized alum. IIRC.

They have been using them on 92FS pistols for over a decade. It seems to hold up well. It is not as good as tennifer IMHO but does a decent job.
