Ive got those on my .350 They arnt the cheapest, ive used, and honestly they arnt any better than the cheap plastic ones i had on my other AR....tho you may have issue with the polymer becoming brittle when frozen on those.

If theres one think that i DONT like about what ive got now is that they arnt locked down, tho again ive not had a problem with them getting caught and flipped up, or popping up on their own.

Thanks for the link, do you know it there standard ar sight height.

Just FYI, the acronym "MBUS" stands for "Magpul Back-Up Sight", so...... You can get MBUS sights for $70 a set. I've yet to see a cheaper sight that was any good. All wobbled around too much.
I see they have nock off magpul mbus. That's more what I was asking about. Just hard to pay 60-70 bucks for plastic sights.

Palmetto State Armory occasionally has sales on Magpul MBUS plastic sight sets for $50 with a coupon code. They just had one of the sales recently and are currently out of stock.

MBUS sights work well for what they are and are probably as low as I would go as far as price and quality.

Leapers UTG works well for me.

I have this one on mine. Stays zeroed, and indexs well.

I bought a set of these for my best friend when he bought his AR. He didn't have the money for a "decent" set but I didn't want him to have to get one of the super cheap sets either. He's been happy with them. UTG still isn't amazing quality or anything, but their stuff has definitely taken a step up in quality lately IMO.

Why don't you just stand your ground and save until you can afford the sights you want. People in financial crunches always end up spending more in the end because eventually they buy what they wanted initially ending up with a bunch of unwanted accessories that when you add it up adds up to quite a chunk of money. Just saying.

I tried some cheap flip up sights on amazon. They were 30 bucks. They were junk. Detents fell out. Could not hold zero. Flipping up the rear moved the sight to the left. Ended up waiting for the PSA deal mentioned above. Never been happier.

$60-$70 is what you'll pay for a set of junk aluminum sights anyway, and the Magpul ones will actually work. Not as well, or as long as quality metal sights, but longer than cheap Chinese metal sights.

I'm really not trying to be a argumentative, but I must be getting the good ones of the batches, of well, everything cheap I guess.
I've not had any issue with the 20 dollar flip up sights, besides them usually leaning to one side, the same side (right) and needing to shim them up.
I don't generally spend a lot of time flipping them up or down, but the rear will go up anytime I'm trying to shoot something small with my red dot.

That isn't to say you won't get a crap set, but my experience has been positive.

ya the ones you sent me are fine. I can't see anything wrong with them. Given the price I think there a good value. If I had the money maybe I'd get better, but there back up sights not the primary sights.

I picked up a set of Tippmann flip up sights awhile back. They were $17 and came in a plastic bag. They're made for paintball (I assume) but they're a pretty close clone of MBUS and I've had good luck with them. Now they're on a CAA MCK and they work fine.

With that said, if you're trying to put together a serious rifle, just pony up for the MBUIS. I have a set that has been on several rifles and I imagine I'll have them for some time.

Just curious. Which ones were you guys getting for 29 bucks that worked? I wouldnt mind ordering some.
Have to ask loonwulf, I believe he said the were no name Amazon sights. Think they were under $20 to.
The product page is gone, but they are just generic aluminum flip up sights. Those are simpler than some, and dont have a spring up, or lock down function. I had a set that did both, that i got off ebay for about 25 bucks, and besides not sitting completely flat they worked as advertised.
