What did you shoot today?

We have been doing some spring cleaning around here.
I had #2 son (my guitar player) brush up on his AR fundamentals by ventilating the old computer tower that was bound for the landfill.

The only gun he keeps at his house is an AR that I built for him. He does have four or five guitars.
(Sometimes I envy him!)

Nice gun but I'll take that Case there

How was the G2C to shoot?
The mag catch was missing. There was a chunk missing from the right side of the dust cover. There were deep scratches on the left side of the frame and backstrap. The rear sight was missing and the slide had very little finish left on it. Pretty much, it looked like roadkill. And it smelt bad.
If functioned 100% as long as I healed the mag in place.

I didn’t get to shoot it but i did try to pull trigger on this model 64 I just took possession of. Somebody put it together wrong, so the gun is locked up. Oh well.

Getting cabin fever so I took a .223 out today I've been working a load up for with 69 gr. Sierra Match Kings. It was shooting very good and I just wanted to tweak the load a little. I had ran out of the Remington 7 1/2 primers so I tried CCI / BR4. Whoa! What a difference just changing primers made. It went from a .500" group to a 1.250" group. Remington primers are on order. ;-(

243, Ruger American ranch, beater AR, SGT 870, 1st year Kimber, a customized Glock 17 I picked up in a trade last weekend, S&W M&P 22.

6.5 Creedmore AR, Kimber bolt 308, Ar in 6.8, 300 blackout pistol, Sig 229 in 40 Cal, and sig 938.

Not today, but the last was yesterday at lunch ... it was a CZ day ... the occasion was that I'd just gotten my 4th binary trigger which was for my Scorpion

PC210010.jpg

and I'd taken my 61's out also, on the left the original 32 and the one on the right is a 380

the one I really need to get out and shoot is my new Shadow2 ... I've put a couple mags through, it shoots very easily but it needs a couple hundred rounds down the tube to break-in and smooth the trigger

Pulled the 308 out today and chased the spiders out of the barrel. I've been wanting to try the new Sierra 155 gr. TMK's out of my 1 in 12 twist barrel. I was very satisfied with 48 grs. of H380 behind the 155 gr. bullet. The average velocity of five shots was 2646 FPS with a standard deviation of 9. ;-)
